HOW WE WORK

Casa Ioana has adopted non-discriminatory and positive activities regarding beneficiaries within its ACASĂ Programme.

In line with promoting the rights of beneficiaries, Casa Ioana has drawn up a ‘Charter of Rights’ that clearly sets out a beneficiary’s rights in respect of the services Casa Ioana provides.

Goals and Pointers to Progress

The goal of the ACASĂ Programme is that beneficiaries achieve their full potential through:

• receiving support and encouragement

• having accurate, relevant and up to date information

• having access to a single point of contact for services

• receiving coordinated and integrated social services that are relevant to their current situation and with their consent

Pointers to progress with beneficiaries are:

Supported beneficiaries

• feeling supported in resolving issues

• saying they feel better - there is a load lifted from them

• thinking about the longer-term and linked with relevant services

• are empowered

• feeling valued and recognised

• able to tell other service providers what they need

• recognising themselves as important and what this means

Information

• beneficiaries aware of what services are available

• comprehensive and appropriate information from beneficiaries to enable the ACASĂ Programme to provide the services beneficiaries need

• timely and accurate information to beneficiaries about service provision

Service provision

• services provided responsively, timely and flexibly, to meet the need

• temporary accommodation facilities met beneficiaries’ needs

Other

• new referrals

• beneficiaries returning or changing types of services received

beneficiaries giving positive feedback about the service
