Are you homeless?
If you are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or are a friend or relative of someone who is homeless, the organisations listed on this page may be able to help.
Please note that you can only claim social assistance payments from the local authority in the area where your last address was registered.
How Casa Ioana can help
We are unable to give out money, but can offer temporary accommodation and social support services, although expect a waiting list. Each case is looked at individually and we can sometimes offer an emergency place. However, we are always willing to discuss ways in which you can get help either from Casa Ioana or from other organisations.
You need to keep in mind that there are very few services for homeless people in Bucharest and what little there are, are overstretched.
