The Mississippi Challenge

Father and son tackle the river so mother and daughter don’t have to tackle the streets.

The Challenge

Our president and his son travel from London to Minneapolis, build a raft and sail her down the Mississippi 1,845 miles to New Orleans and fly home. But there’s a twist... they have to complete the challenge in the 30 days between their birthdays; Ian’s on 5 September and Peter’s on the 6 October!

Casa Ioana has been donated land just outside of Bucharest and plans to build a facility that will provide temporary accommodation and workshops. We aim to help homeless individuals retrain and develop new skills, which are needed in the market place. Initial estimates show we need to raise €250,000 to build and equip the facility. Whilst we expect the bulk of funding will come from European funds, will have to raise €25,000 in co-funding.
